For over 80 years, the Lake Merritt Hotel’s acclaimed Terrace Room was THE place in Oakland for celebrations. Here Count Basie made the room swing, and innumerable wedding parties, commitment ceremonies, Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, anniversary celebrations, business holiday festivities and birthday bashes have been held for generations! The Terrace Room is honored to continue this tradition for your private receptions and large scale events. Our Chef and catering team provide exceptional catering services. A variety of menus are available, or our chef will gladly create or tailor a menu to suit your taste and needs for your own private party. The Terrace Room can host your private party of 20 to 60 people during our restaurant hours and on Saturday evenings the Terrace Room can be reserved for private large scale events from 100 to 225 guests.
